I struggled with my weight for years. I was 220 for the longest time and then got up to 230. That become “normal” for me, I accepted it. Then 240, 245, 255, and finally 260. I became tired of being fat. I would get out of breath bending over to tie my shoes. I took a long hard look at myself in the mirror- I was 46 and overweight. My friend gave me Julie’s phone number (as he had lost 30 pounds with her), and he told me I needed to call! I set up an appointment, and we sat down talking about what I was eating and when I was eating it. I had changes to make. I left that first appointment and went to the store-I was ready to change. I started working out, eating better foods and followed Julie’s advice. Thus far, I have lost 20 pounds of fat and gained 9 pounds of muscle. I lost 3 inches in my waist. It took me YEARS to get like this; it will take time to get to my ideal weight. This is a journey not a race. I have a lot more work to do, but I am off to a good start. "We all had a great time at my Natural Weigh cooking party. Sitting around laughing, drinking wine, visiting and participating in a healthy cooking demo! The chef prepared a meal, as per my request, and her expertise that was to die for! You would never know this could be so easy, and yet so healthy. Julie gave us a card with the recipes and nutritional stats (per serving) for each. During the demonstration, the chef gave us little secrets and tidbits for preparing these healthy yet tasty foods. Julie was also answering questions dealing with the foods and healthy choices. She, as always, had lots of healthier substitutions and information to share with everyone. The evening ended with a delicious and healthy dinner sampling just for us. What a night ~ got to do it!!"
